The Children Challenging Industry (CCI) programme is for year 5 and 6 students. The programme will be running across the Humber region, led by the Centre for Industry Education Collaboration (CIEC) based at the University of York, in partnership with CATCH and our industrial partners. The learning experience is linked to industrial storylines and encourages children to understand the uses and implications of science, including the variety of roles in science and engineering. In response to these unprecedented times, we have adapted our approach to the planning and delivery of CCI so that we can continue to provide a range of stimulating science activities set in industrial contexts designed to enhance children's understanding of science and industry. We currently have places available for the 2021 Spring and Summer terms at a special introductory cost of £200. Prices for the 2021-22 academic year will rise to £300. The total cost of running the project for each school is over £1,500. However, due to the generous financial support of our industry partners, your school can benefit from this subsidised opportunity. Contact firstname.lastname@example.org for full details.
